If I had a son I would tell him to explore every avenue of sexual joy be it straight or gay.I would encourage him to follow his own urges and desires and not to listen to the voice of conformity.I would open myself up to any questioning about my own sexuality and pour out enough stories of sexual adventures to give him food for thought. My own father was lacking in any form of sexual teaching, my instructor had been an older cousin who's lack of knowledge amounted to him showing me how big his cock got when he rubbed it and that white stuff came out the end. He was happy to demonstrate the act before me and I was supposed to follow suit which at the time I did not feel like doing. Hardly the basis for a satisfactory sex education but in the late 50's it had to do. I had to do my own research both practical and in theory.
